Abstract - Mammuthus in Europe.The paper describes primitive mammoth remains from the region of Russe, Northeast Bulgaria. Together with some finds from neighbouring Romania, these fossils raise questions about the earliest migrations of genus

Résumé - L'article décrit les restes des mammouths primitifs de la région de Russe, Bulgarie de Nord-Est. Ces fossiles, ainsi que d'autres trouvailles provenant d'une région proche en Roumanie, posent la question des premières migrations du genre Mammuthus en Europe.
